A Day In The Life Of...Carinya Rebecca Pike

Back to Blog

We were lucky enough to grab a quick minute with our very busy Door Host Carinya Pike for an interview on what it´s really like behind them ropes.

Q: Take us through your typical day here at O Beach Ibiza…

A: I arrive on a morning before we open to check over the days bookings making sure the clients beds are as requested. Then I prepare the wristbands for the VIP, Garden and Prive areas and set up the entrance ready to welcome the days guests.

Q: How long have you been working on the island for?

A: I was born in Ibiza and I have worked on the island for four years now.

Q: What do you love most about your job?9S7B4429

A: I love the social aspect of my job, I get to interact with different people each day and I love being a part of the O Beach experience.

Q: What do you dislike about your job?

A: It´s difficult to watch others party whilst I am working, but because of the atmosphere in O Beach you can´help but enjoy yourself regardless.

Q: What advice would you give to someone wanting to start a season?

A: I would advise anyone that wanted to do a season to just go into it with a good attitude of wanting to work hard. It is a long season and a hard job but it has a lot of perks and is completely worth it

Q: What has been your biggest challenge so far?

A: My biggest challenge so far has been trying to keep my calm between the hours of 1pm-4pm which is our busiest time of the day. I feel that it has really tested my patience on many occasions but I like to keep busy and see that the guests are seen to as quickly as possible so that they can enjoy the party.

Q: What has been your highlight / most memorable moment?

A: My highlight has to be when it comes to the end of the season and I look back on all of my greatest memories and the amazing people I´ve met that season, both clients and colleagues. I always think to myself “the summer has gone so fast!9S7B4442

Q: What would be your perfect day off on the island?

A: My perfect day off would start with a boat trip to Formentera where we´d then go to a beach for some lunch. After this I would go to watch the sunset before getting dressed up and heading for dinner and drinks in Marina Botafoch.
