Hed Kandi is officially back every Monday throughout the summer. With Lovely Laura live on sax and the HK Girl squad entering our crowd all day long & into the night, it’s not an event to be missed!
Today we take you behind the scenes and into our dressing rooms to share with you our beauty routine for the beautiful hed kandi dancers!
Dewy skin, slicked back hair and bold lips.
- Our make-up artist Zoe Newlove first created a natural base using Kryolan HD Foundation. The skin needed to be fresh and light, ideal for dancing out in the sunshine. This was applied using a Crownbrush UK Flat Foundation brush.
- Bronzer and blush were added to sculpt and define the face, with the focus being on the highlighter. Zoe loves using a creamy
formula from Smashbox Cosmetics which is suitable for both the cheeks and lips. The shade used was called Hollywood & Highlight. Check it out here.
- To complete the make-up look, Hed Kandi requested a bold, bright lip. Zoe used two lipsticks from Illamasqua – a mixture of ESP & Atomic – a bold metallic purple and a striking magenta. The matte, waterproof formula of the lipstick, applied in layers with a lip brush, meant the dancer’s lipstick would last for a good 12 hours with no need to reapply.
